Bijan Mohseni
Bijan Mohseni is a seasoned employment and civil rights litigator. With an unwavering commitment to justice and track record of success, he represents clients in a wide range of cases, including employment class actions, PAGA representative actions, and individual discrimination, civil rights, and wrongful termination cases.
Fearless in his pursuit of justice, Bijan frequently takes on large multinational corporations that exploit their employees. He takes pride in holding employers accountable and has secured millions of dollars in damages for working Californians. Early in Bijan’s career, he even took on the President of the United States and challenged the Department of Defense’s discriminatory policies against transgender soldiers before the United States Supreme Court.
Beyond the courtroom, Bijan is deeply engaged in political and community activism, advocating for legislation and policies that prioritize the rights of working people. His dedication to public service led him to run for the California State Assembly and serve as an elected Delegate to the California Democratic Party, where he played a pivotal role in drafting the party’s platform on labor, economic justice, and civil justice policy. Currently, he serves on the board of the Orange County Lavender Bar Association.
Bijan’s commitment to service has earned him recognition and he is the honored recipient of the Equality California Community Leadership Award and the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award presented by President Barack Obama.
Prior to joining Bibiyan Law Group, Bijan gained valuable experience working as an associate at two AmLaw 100 firms, Latham & Watkins and Lewis Brisbois, and within in the chambers of the Hon. Josephine L. Staton of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the Hon. Brian M. Hoffstadt of the California Court of Appeal.
Fighting for everyday people is in his blood. Bijan is a proud first-generation American and the first college graduate in his family. Following his Southern California public school education, Bijan completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Chapman University, studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and received his Juris Doctor degree from UCLA School of Law.
Bijan is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and the District of Columbia.
