Amanda Thompson has extensive experience handling employment matters such as sexual harassment, discrimination based on race, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, and age, as well as family/medical leave issues, wage and hour disputes, and severance negotiations.
Before joining Bibiyan Law Group PC, Ms. Thompson served as a mid-level associate at a distinguished Los Angeles-based employment law firm. Prior to that, she successfully operated her own firm for nearly a decade, focusing on employment discrimination and wage and hour cases throughout southern California. Ms. Thompson’s prior experience also includes class actions concerning wage and hour violations and race discrimination. Her litigation background also extends beyond employment law to encompass diverse general liability cases such as premises liability, products liability, and construction defect defense.
Recognized as a “Superlawyers – Rising Star” by Superlawyers Magazine, Ms. Thompson is committed to community service, having held multiple board and leadership positions in both local and national organizations. She earned her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating cum laude with Pro Bono Honors and a Certificate in Law and Social Justice. Ms. Thompson also graduated cum laude from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where she received her B.A. in Psychology.
